Walnut Shell Coarse/Medium 1kg

1kg packs of roughly crushed walnut shell for achieving fine polish on delicate surfaces. The irregular shapes of the material can get into fine crevices in jewellery pieces. Walnut shell is very soft on surfaces, is durable and reusable and can be used in both barrel and vibratory tumblers. It is non-toxic and biodegradable. Unlike steel and ceramic shot, walnut shell is used dry, and can be used with various polish pastes/compounds.

Different types of media will produce different results. Stainless steel and ceramic shots are best for deburring, burnishing and smoothing, while softer materials like walnut shell are better for delicate fine polishing.
